Steel Work Hire from Haines Construction

History

The founder member, Philip Haines started the company as P.T. Haines in 1980. Having initially started out working on farms as hired labour and machine driving, Phil started to help out a couple of friends making steel trailers for the farming industry in his spare time. One day they were asked if they could do a small, steel framed and cladded farm building for a local farmer, this then evolved in Phil starting up his own business erecting and concreting the buildings.

Phil now looks after Haines Farming with the construction side being run by fellow director Kevan Haines (son).

Kevan started working with his father in the early years as a steel erector, but as the company grew took the decision to take over the administration side of the business including the day to day running of the company. The company progressed to much larger contracts and decided to go Limited in 1999.

In 2008 the company built its own Head office and warehouse facilities within a newly acquired working farm.

Today the company employs up to 40 staff with multiple trades and skills, handling contract up to, and above £5 million.
